Our New Home: Envisioning Our Future Together

In the teachings of the Buddha we often hear about change and the impermanence of life. The Pittsburgh Shambhala Center is about to undergo a major change.  We have been told that our lease will not be renewed when it expires in two years and therefore we must find a new home for our community. Although change can bring about fear and uncertainty, it also brings possibility and growth.

A property search committee has begun working to determine what we want in our new center, and they are looking for appropriate properties to view.  Please visit this page from time to time to see how our search is going.

Shambhala Environments – A Shambhala environment is a physical space that is sacred: sacredness is the foundational principle of Shambhala culture and our built environment.  There is information about this on the Shambhala International site at http://www.shambhalaenvironments.com/

You can learn more about our search for a new location on the pages listed in the sidebar at right.  Also, please check back from time to time for updates on our search for a new home for the Pittsburgh Shambhala Meditation Center.  Thank you for your interest and your support!
