We at the Pittsburgh Shambhala Meditation Center hope to foster a space where queer Shambhalians can come together to have difficult conversations about nonidentity, queerness, and the vision of Shambhala while holding each other in the cradle of loving kindness. We offer this weekend as an opportunity to be vulnerable and kind with each other so that we may leave the retreat better equipped to engage fearlessly in our sanghas and in the world. Though hosted by a core staff, this program will be primarily organized through open space technology. This means that the content of the program is primarily up to the participants. We’ve got some ideas, but we want to allow the wisdom and curiosity of the group to shine. Come explore the prajna of your queerness with us.

Please let us know if there is any way that we could make this retreat more accessible or welcoming. If you are coming from out of town, we will put you in touch with our housing coordinator for the program, Jess Heathcote ([email protected]). We look forward to meeting you!
