A public talk by Carol Hyman, Executive Director of Applied Mindfulness Training

Human beings are the greatest natural resource on the planet. But in order to fulfill our potential, we first need to learn how to work with our minds. Mindfulness, the ability to direct and sustain our attention, helps us notice patterns within ourselves. When we practice this inward focus, we are able to see more clearly the patterns unfolding in the world around us. This in turn enables us to discern what actions will bring the most benefit to a given situation and skillfully deliver it.
