Through the practice of meditation, we begin to glimpse that goodness, rather than confusion, is the unconditional ground of our existence. Through short, repeated sessions of sitting and walking, we will deepen our comfort being with ourselves, and experience the possibilities that exist when we settle fully into the present moment.

Interspersed lectures present the view of meditation practice: to cultivate compassion for ourselves and others and restore our inherent sanity amidst a chaotic world. Through a healthy balance of instruction and practice, we grow our understanding of the how and the why of meditation and learn to carry our mindfulness practice off the cushion and into every aspect of our lives.

This retreat includes: instructions in sitting and walking meditation; sessions of sitting and walking meditation; teacher talks, small group discussions; and a concluding reception.
